stevenducey003 an early contender for album of the year. that three track combo of causeway bae, cantonese and kowloon gives me all the dancy hips and feet and then that smooth groovy ending of cosmic-rendez-vous. rocketing up my "most played" list and it's only been out for 10 days. Favorite track: Cantonese.

Senba I was waiting for this album since I listened to Ma Tau Wai Road. I had already a couple of EPs from those last years so I was sure I would appreciate this album.
Difficult to describe how I can feel the artist’s emotions in the different tracks.
Amazing work, we are only in March but I’m confident this album will be on the top of my 2024 list in December. Favorite track: Ma Tau Wai Road (with Salah Pupul).

Touching upon some of life’s big themes – memory, loss, family and coming to terms and making peace with all of that – the album is a resounding audio triumph. It reconciles the competing sonic strands that make up Bolis’ aesthetic – his European and Asian roots, alongside the overarching presence of the twin American pillars of Detroit techno and Chicago house – in a manner that is pleasingly familiar and creatively inventive.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
